A Well-Used Symbol Of The Cold

30 May 20184 Jun 2018
Black-eyed kids aren't real! Bare logic says you're probably right.  An entirely material reading of reality says you probably must be.  But are you so sure your reading of reality…

They Wanted To Talk To Him – The Black-Eyed Kids

Sunset over the estuary. And what looks like a vaguely lenticular cloud above the hills.
Holy Trinity C of E Church in Skipton, UK, has glass doors. And when they're slightly open, and the sun is low in a winter morning sky, the light shines through the edge of the glass and does this to the stone floor.
Plants in a garden this afternoon, as the sun got low. This is what this moment actually looked like. But a lot of my memories end up looking like this even when the thing I'm remembering wasn't, and I've never been sure why. Odd effect, though. I writ a post about it a few months ago (I don't know if Instagram allows links in posts...): https://glassrain.net/2019/07/19/the-cast-of-every-memory/
Coffee supplement. 😬
