This week has been spent in the Lake District, an area in northwest England known for its huge rolling desert vistas, with dunes snaking away to the far horizons under the searing sun.
Just kidding. It’s lakes. It’s known for lakes.
It’s actually one of England’s best spots for scenery. It’s got hills that nearly rival those of Scotland, and it’s one of those environments where you can plot up with a good view and watch the shifting light totally changing the landscape almost from minute to minute.
