Today we have mostly been at the Asgardian Heathen Festival, which is running over this weekend at a rural camping ground near Solihull, of all places (shout-out to readers in Solihull – I don’t mean it I’m sure it’s lovely).
Like last year, the event features a variety of crafty people doing and selling their crafts, talks and workshops, and live music (occasionally drowning out the talks scheduled into the same marquee at the same time, which was a shame).
This year we elected not to camp overnight because hotels are warm and have comfy beds. So it’s fish and chips in a hotel bar with music just slightly too loud for comfort and in case you have the idea I just hate music I play my MP3s in the car with the volume at 30 which is Pretty Damn Loud.
No. No, I like music. Just not while I’m trying to listen to a storyteller, or trying to have a post-busy-day unwind look I can’t help being old before my time what do you want from me?
Anyway tomorrow is another day (obviously) and we’re back out to the site to check out a few more workshops and suchlike. I’ll try and post again with some highlights afterwards.
